Als Sammler wird der russische Prinz Emmanuel Mikhailovitch Galitzin (oder: Emmanuil Michailovic Golicyn (1804-1853) genannt (S.4). Beschreibt im 1. Teil 958 und im Supplement 210 teils sehr seltene Erotika mit Kollation und meist umfangreichen Kommentaren. „The exceptional value of the ‘Catalogue’ however is constituted by the ‘Supplement iconographique’. Nowhere else can one find such complete details of series of the erotic lithographs of the early and middle nineteenth century. The ‘Catalogue’ is the very last source of telling us what has been produced and of revealing the identity of masters like Victor Adam, Devéria, Henry Monnier, Le Poitevin and others“ (Schors).
